If you want to perform and compose songs in different popular music styles and
perform a gig on stage then this is the course for you!
The Rockgod Academy workshops are designed to bring together students from 7-18 years old and develop their ensemble skills. Students will work in a band composing and covering songs by their favourite bands or artists. Each band will comprise of a vocalist, rhythm section and horn section (optional) and have their own experienced tutor to assist them.
This course is open to any instrument including: Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboard, Saxophone, Trumpet and Trombone. If you play an instrument, you will need to bring it with you. If you play bass or electric guitar you’ll also need to bring an amplifier. You will be assigned a band at the beginning of the course.
Spaces are limited especially if you are a drummer.
Cost of the course is £160.00
The course is held at Archbishop Holgate’s School in York which is located on the Hull road and is a 5 minute drive from the centre of York and very close to the A64.
